Worm Gear Reducers

Worm gear reducers are compact power transmission solutions that deliver a high reduction ratio in a single stage and stand out for their self-locking capability. At HEM Motor, we manufacture these reducers in-house and deliver them coupled to an electric motor, directly from stock without intermediaries. Thanks to the worm screw and bronze worm wheel arrangement, the load on the output shaft cannot drive the motor backwards, providing safety without an extra brake in lifting, conveying, conveyor and positioning applications. The output shaft set perpendicular to the motor axis also adds flexibility in tight installation spaces and delivers quiet, balanced operation.

Our range covers housing options from HEM30 to HEM130, matching motor powers of roughly 0.06 kW to 11 kW. Typical single-stage reduction ratios range from 1/7.5 to 1/100; for example, a 1400 rpm motor with a 1/30 ratio gives an output speed of about 46 rpm.
